Alecto Recruitment is working with a growing power generation company who are seeking a Part-Time Site Operator to support the day-to-day running of small-scale energy generation sites.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Monitor and operate site equipment, responding quickly to faults or interruptions in generation.
  • Carry out basic maintenance, fault finding, and reset alarms on mechanical and electrical plant.
  • Support breakdown response and assist with call-outs to minimise downtime of generating assets.
  • Maintain site housekeeping standards, ensuring clean, safe, and well-run facilities.
  • Complete daily record keeping, documentation, and support audit actions.
  • Follow HSQE procedures, including lone working and safety compliance.
  • Assist Operations teams with servicing and minor repairs where required.
  • Manage time effectively around variable working hours based on plant operation.
  • Support environmental compliance, including spill response and monitoring.
  • Represent the company professionally and contribute to continuous improvement.

Skills & Requirements

  • Experience in a mechanical or electrical environment.
  • Basic knowledge of power generation systems (e.g. engines, solar desirable).
  • Health & Safety awareness.
  • IT literate.
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport required.
