Working Hours
- Depot: Monday to Thursday 8:00am - 5:30pm (30-minute lunch & 15-minute morning break)
- Friday: 8:00am - 1:30pm (15-minute morning break)
- Site Work: Hours reflect site requirements, with combined working and driving time of up to 13 hours per day.
The Role
- Carry out preparation, servicing, fault finding, repairs and planned maintenance on specialist construction and drilling equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, diesel engine and basic electrical faults both in the workshop and at customer sites throughout the UK.
- Maintain and repair cable percussion drilling rigs, rotary drilling rigs, top hammer rigs, grout mixing plants, pumps, tanks, silos and associated equipment.
- Complete inspections, reports and documentation whilst ensuring all work is carried out safely and to OEM standards.
- Travel throughout the UK at short notice, with occasional overseas travel for OEM training or project support.
Requirements
- Experience maintaining and repairing mobile or static construction plant, heavy plant or similar equipment.
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic and diesel engine fault finding skills.
- Basic knowledge of 24V electrical systems would be advantageous.
- Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics.
- Welding and flame cutting experience would be beneficial.
- NVQ in Plant Maintenance or equivalent.
- CSCS card preferred.
- Full UK driving licence.
