A well-established and highly respected body shop based in Colchester, Essex is currently seeking an experienced Panel Beater to join their skilled team. This is an exciting opportunity for a capable individual to work within a busy, well-equipped workshop handling a wide range of vehicles and repair work, including structural repairs, jig work, and welding.

The business prides itself on delivering high-quality repairs and outstanding customer service, and is now looking to expand its team with someone who shares those same values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out panel beating duties on various makes and models of vehicles
  • Performing structural realignment using jig systems (e.g., Car-O-Liner, Celette)
  • Welding duties, including MIG, MAG and spot welding, to a high standard
  • Replacing or repairing damaged panels, doors, wings, and bonnets
  • Conducting chassis and frame repairs where required
  • Working collaboratively with estimators and paint technicians to ensure timely completion
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Candidate Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a panel beater/body repair role
  • Proficient in all aspects of body repair, including jig work and welding
  • ATA accreditation preferred, but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently
  • Reliable, professional and committed to high standards of workmanship
  • Full UK driving licence is essential
