A well-established and highly respected body shop based in Colchester, Essex is currently seeking an experienced Panel Beater to join their skilled team. This is an exciting opportunity for a capable individual to work within a busy, well-equipped workshop handling a wide range of vehicles and repair work, including structural repairs, jig work, and welding.
The business prides itself on delivering high-quality repairs and outstanding customer service, and is now looking to expand its team with someone who shares those same values.
Key Responsibilities:- Carrying out panel beating duties on various makes and models of vehicles
- Performing structural realignment using jig systems (e.g., Car-O-Liner, Celette)
- Welding duties, including MIG, MAG and spot welding, to a high standard
- Replacing or repairing damaged panels, doors, wings, and bonnets
- Conducting chassis and frame repairs where required
- Working collaboratively with estimators and paint technicians to ensure timely completion
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a panel beater/body repair role
- Proficient in all aspects of body repair, including jig work and welding
- ATA accreditation preferred, but not essential
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently
- Reliable, professional and committed to high standards of workmanship
- Full UK driving licence is essential
- Salary up to 50,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
