Operations Technician – Power Station Circa. £50,000 + Benefits & Bonus Slough Alecto Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Operations Technician to join the operations department of a Energy from Waste Facility in Slough. Job Brief To support the Shift Team Leaders, in all operations related activities at the station. As a Production Technician you will be responsible for: Starting, stopping, and monitoring gas and steam turbines, heat recovery steam generators, pumps, water treatment plant and heat exchangers via a DCS control system. Diagnose plant related problems and perform basic first line maintenance tasks reporting any defects to the Shift Team Leader. Conduct operational routines and routine plant testing activities. Manage and supervise contractors. Undertake specific projects and work activities to develop skills and knowledge of the plant. Conducting all activities with the highest regard for health and safety.Requirements Operational experience from within Power Generation, ideally working with Steam, however those from a similar industry or with a Naval/Military background may be considered. A relevant engineering qualification such as an NVQ Level 3 or similar The ability to assist other departments including Mechanical, Electrical or C&I when necessary. A high regard for health, safety and environmental compliance.Package Details Salary is based around £50,000 plus the benefits Bonus available. Company pension and vast amount of overtime available. This position will be worked on a day and night 12-hour shift basis.The Person This role would suit an experienced person with experience within Power Generation or a similar industry.
