FM32770 O&M Plant Attendant £34,000 Basic Salary Energy From Waste Sector Slough Alecto Recruitment is partnering with a leading owner-operator of Energy From Waste Power Generation facilities across the UK. We are looking for an NPORS qualified Operator who has experience operating Plant Machinery within a Process Environment. What\’s on offer: £34,000 Basic Salary Performance-Based Bonus Company Pension, Life Insurance, and Private Dental Private Medical Insurance (Family) Role and Responsibilities: Respond effectively to support Operations and Maintenance teams during both planned and unplanned (including emergency) repairs, blockages, or system changes, ensuring all work is completed safely. Ensure compliance with all relevant requirements outlined in the Plant Operating (PPC/Environmental) Permit and other legal obligations related to waste management. Carry out plant cleaning schedules and maintain a consistently high standard of housekeeping across the site. Conduct regular inspections of all plant areas, promptly reporting any defects, issues, or hazards identified. Report any breaches of statutory regulations or HZI safe working practices to the appropriate management level, including the reporting of accidents, incidents, and near misses. Qualifications Proven experience in a similar role within a related industry. Demonstrates a strong work ethic and commitment to high standards. Confident working at heights and in confined spaces, with the ability to perform heavy lifting and operate on-site vehicles when required. Possesses strong IT skills and solid computer literacy. Sound understanding of HSE standards, procedures, and requirements to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. Proactive and able to respond quickly and effectively, exercising good judgment in emergency situations.
