The Role
- Carry out LOLER inspections on construction plant and machinery.
- Receive full training to become competent in lifting gear and lifting accessory inspections.
- Complete PUWER inspections across the company's fleet.
- Produce inspection reports and compliance documentation.
- Carry out quality inspections on completed repairs and off-hire equipment.
- Support engineers and the wider plant department with technical advice on equipment condition and compliance.
Requirements
- Experience working as a Plant Fitter, Mobile Plant Engineer, Workshop Plant Engineer or Field Service Engineer.
- Experience carrying out LOLER inspections on plant equipment.
- Good knowledge of construction plant including excavators, dumpers, telehandlers, loading shovels or similar machinery.
- Mechanical fault-finding and repair experience.
- Looking to progress into a dedicated inspection and compliance role.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance, Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or Mechanical Engineering would be advantageous.
This role is ideal for someone who currently repairs and maintains construction plant but wants to step away from the daily breakdowns and move into a specialist inspection role.
