Accommodation & Welfare Installation Operative

Location: Wellingborough, UK (nationwide travel required).

Hours: Monday‑Friday, full‑time.

Pay: £16.44 per hour (time & a half overtime). Company van provided.

Responsibilities

  • All aspects of installation, dismantling, maintenance and refurbishment of modular accommodation and welfare units on customer sites and within workshop environments.
  • Installing and dismantling modular accommodation units.
  • Fitting and removing partitions, ceilings, floors and fittings.
  • Refurbishment and fit‑out work.
  • Basic plumbing and electrical repairs.
  • Maintenance of canteen and toilet facilities.
  • Replacing locks, handles and fixtures.
  • General repair, assembly and maintenance tasks.
  • Using hand and power tools.
  • Supporting lifting and installation operations.
  • Ensuring work is completed safely and to high standards.
  • Providing a professional service on customer sites (client‑facing role).

Qualifications

  • Experience within maintenance, fitting, refurbishment or installation environments.
  • Basic plumbing, joinery or general building maintenance skills.
  • Comfortable using power tools and hand tools.
  • Flexible approach to travel and working hours.
  • Team player with a proactive attitude.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with modular buildings, portable cabins or welfare accommodation is highly advantageous.
