Role Overview
Work independently as a field‑based engineer to support a diverse customer base across the North East. You will use a modern fleet of forklift trucks and materials handling equipment to provide high‑quality service.
Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a range of forklift trucks and materials handling equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
- Attend customer sites across the region to perform breakdown repairs and planned maintenance
- Complete inspections and ensure equipment remains compliant and operational
- Provide a professional and customer‑focused service at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Forklift Engineer, Plant Engineer, Vehicle Technician, HGV Technician or similar
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault‑finding skills
- Experience carrying out service, maintenance and repair work on mobile equipment
- Ability to work independently in a field‑based role
- Customer‑focused approach with good communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
