Fire & Security Engineer

£43,000 to £47,000 Basic Salary + Package
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join an established and growing business.
The role will involve working across a range of commercial and domestic sites, carrying out installation, servicing, maintenance, fault finding and commissioning across a variety of fire and security systems.
The Role
As a Fire & Security Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Servicing and maintaining fire and security systems
- Carrying out fault finding and repairs
- Installing and commissioning new systems
- Working on systems including fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control
- Carrying out routine preventative maintenance
- Completing small works and system upgrades where required
- Liaising with customers and providing a professional level of service
- Completing service reports and relevant documentation
- Working independently and managing your own workload
- Ensuring all work is completed to the required technical and safety standards
Systems
Experience with one or more of the following systems would be beneficial:
- Fire Alarm Systems
- Intruder Alarm Systems
- CCTV
- Access Control
- Door Entry
- Other electronic security systems
The Candidate
The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience working within the Fire & Security industry and be confident working independently on customer sites.

You should have:
- Previous experience as a Fire Engineer, Security Engineer or Fire & Security Engineer
- Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills
- Good customer service and communication skills
- A professional approach when dealing with customers
- A full UK driving licence
- The ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team
Relevant manufacturer training, industry qualifications or experience with recognised systems would be advantageous.
