Plant Fitter / Mobile Plant Mechanic / Construction Equipment Fitter / Heavy Equipment Technician / Site Plant Engineer Huddersfield | £40,000 | Mon-Fri | No Weekends We are recruiting on behalf of a leading construction equipment company in Huddersfield who are looking for a skilled Plant Fitter to join their team. This role is predominantly mobile, with some time in the workshop, offering variety and a great work-life balance. Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 – 17:00 (includes 30-minute lunch) No weekends, no overnight stays, and no overtime Salary: £40,000 per year The role: Maintain, service, and repair a wide range of construction plant and machinery, including dumpers, excavators, rollers, telehandlers, skid steers, mini diggers, generators, pumps, tools & light equipment, and more. Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults. Ensure all plant is safe, compliant, and ready for use. Support planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programs. We\’re looking for candidates with: Experience as a Plant Fitter, Mobile Plant Mechanic, Construction Equipment Fitter, Heavy Plant Fitter, Excavator Mechanic, Dumper Mechanic, Site Plant Engineer, or Heavy Equipment Technician Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge Ability to work independently and on-site across multiple locations Full UK driving license (essential for mobile work) CSCS card desirable but not essentialThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team with excellent equipment and tools, offering £40,000 per year, a stable Monday to Friday schedule, and no unsociable hours.
