Opportunity for a Smart Home & AV CAD Designer in London (Hybrid – 2 to 3 days office based) with a salary of £30,000 - £40,000 + training + progression. This role involves working with a leading high-end AV integrator delivering bespoke smart home systems into some of the most exclusive residential properties in London.

Responsibilities:

  • Producing detailed CAD drawings for smart home and AV systems
  • Designing lighting control, shading, cinema and whole home automation layouts
  • Creating schematics, elevations, rack layouts and GA drawings
  • Translating client requirements into fully engineered system designs
  • Working with project managers, engineers and consultants
  • Specifying AV, lighting, control and automation equipment
  • Supporting projects through design, install and commissioning stages
  • Ensuring accuracy, consistency and high-end design standards across all drawings

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in AV, smart home or residential system design
  • Strong AutoCAD skills
  • Good understanding of smart home or AV integration systems
  • Experience in high-end residential or luxury property projects preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and design accuracy
  • Comfortable working with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple live projects at once

Bonus Experience:

  • Control4, Crestron or Lutron knowledge
  • Lighting or shading design experience
  • Super prime residential AV exposure
