We\’re hiring a Lead AV Engineer with strong home automation experience to join a growing team delivering bespoke smart home technology in some of the most prestigious properties in the UK. This is a client-facing, hands-on role focusing on fault-finding, maintenance, and minimising system downtime for high-net-worth individuals. You\’ll lead projects and mentor junior engineers, ensuring seamless integration of Control4, Lutron, Crestron Home, and other smart home technologies. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and resolve issues across AV, lighting control, networks, and automation systems, keeping client disruption to a minimum. Act fast and think critically to restore functionality in complex residential systems. Oversee installations, testing, commissioning, and snagging with full ownership of technical quality. Mentor engineers, provide on-the-job training, and uphold best practices across installs and service calls. Conduct site surveys, manage handovers, and maintain client relationships through top-tier service visits. Work with the Technical Director to advise on system design and evaluate emerging technologies. What You\’ll Bring Proven experience in smart home systems – ideally with Control4, Lutron, Crestron Home, Savant, or KNX. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills across Audio Visual, networking, and home automation setups. Leadership ability and confidence liaising with clients, contractors, and project teams. A hands-on mindset and pride in delivering the highest-quality finishes. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to luxury residential sites.
