A leading building services and facilities management contractor is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Engineer to support a portfolio of commercial and industrial clients across Bristol and the wider South West region. This is a stable, long-term opportunity offering structured training, manufacturer support, and clear progression for engineers looking to develop technically and professionally.

Responsibilities:

  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repair works on HVAC systems
  • Fault diagnosis on electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration components
  • Servicing and maintenance of:
  • Split & multi-split air conditioning systems
  • VRV / VRF systems
  • AHUs, FCUs, and ventilation systems
  • Heat pumps and chillers (experience-dependent)
  • Carrying out pressure testing, leak detection, evacuation, and re-gassing
  • Completing service reports, F-Gas logs, and compliance documentation
  • Liaising with clients, site contacts, and helpdesk teams
  • Ensuring all works are carried out in line with:
    • F-Gas regulations
    • Health & Safety legislation
    • Company and site procedures
  • Participation in an on-call rota (typically 1 in 6 / 1 in 8)
  • Candidate Profile:

    Essential:

    • Minimum 3+ years' experience as an HVAC / AC Service Engineer
    • F-Gas Category 1
    • Strong fault-finding capability on HVAC systems
    • Good working knowledge of electrical and mechanical components
    • Full UK driving licence
    • Comfortable working independently in a field-based role

    Desirable:

    • NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
    • Experience with chillers, heat pumps, or commercial ventilation
    • 18th Edition (BS7671)
    • IPAF / PASMA
    • Previous experience within facilities management or building services
