Alecto Recruitment is partnered with a market leader in the Energy from Waste and Biogas industries, and together we are searching for a Mechanical Maintenance Manager to plan and deliver mechanical service and project work across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on-site mechanical oversight by conducting inspections, guiding maintenance activities, resolving technical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and contractual standards.
- Act as the primary technical authority, providing expert direction on dismantling, assembly, installation, troubleshooting, and combustion-system maintenance.
- Mentor field teams, promote safe working practices, and support a strong performance culture focused on quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with project and account teams to coordinate work execution, optimize processes, and improve operational efficiency.
- Enforce QHSE compliance, maintain accurate documentation, and support audits and customer reviews.
- Plan and deliver mechanical service and project activities safely, on time, and on budget while representing a market leader professionally and supporting tendering and cost modelling efforts.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Higher qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field.
- Mid-to-senior level experience in mechanical maintenance, field service, or operations - ideally within Power Plants, Waste-to-Energy, or industrial facilities.
- Proven experience in hands-on mechanical inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance management.
- Familiarity with matrix organisations and digital field service/maintenance management tools.
- Fluent in the local language and English; additional languages are a plus.
- Strong QHSE mindset with unwavering commitment to safe working practices.
- Customer-focused, proactive, and adaptable in demanding site environments.
- Technically strong with excellent judgement and problem-solving ability.
- Effective leader with strong communication and mentoring skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly within the designated region.
