Looking to build a career in electrical installation? We're recruiting a Junior Gas Detection Installer to join a growing engineering company that installs specialist gas detection systems across commercial and industrial sites. You don't need previous gas detection experience. If you've worked as an Electrician's Mate, Electrical Improver or Junior Electrical Installer, we'll provide the specialist training.
The Role
You'll work alongside experienced engineers installing gas detection systems in locations including laboratories, universities, commercial buildings and industrial sites. The role covers projects across London, Oxford, Cambridge and the surrounding areas, with occasional overnight stays when required. All travel expenses are covered.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assisting with the installation of fixed gas detection systems
- Running containment including conduit, tray and trunking
- Pulling and terminating cables
- Assisting with testing and commissioning
- Working safely on customer sites
- Completing basic paperwork and job reports
What We're Looking For
- Experience as an Electrician's Mate, Electrical Improver or similar
- CSCS Card
- Full UK driving licence
- Happy to travel across London, Oxford and Cambridge
- Good work ethic and willingness to learn
- Reliable with a positive attitude
- Electrical qualifications or the 18th Edition are beneficial but not essential.
