A highly respected AV integration business is looking to appoint a senior technical leader to take ownership of engineering quality, technical standards, and project delivery performance across its residential and commercial AV division. This is a key leadership role within the business, ideal for a Lead Engineer, Senior AV Engineer or Engineering Manager who wants to move beyond individual project delivery and help shape how engineering is delivered company wide. This is not a corporate QA or compliance management role. The business is specifically looking for someone from a professional AV integration background with strong hands on technical knowledge across high end AV, smart home and integrated technology systems.
The Role
You will act as the senior technical authority within the engineering team, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest possible standard from installation through to commissioning and handover. You'll work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Programmers and Leadership teams to improve technical consistency, raise standards, support engineers and resolve complex integration challenges. This role combines leadership, mentoring, technical escalation and continuous improvement across the engineering function.
Key Responsibilities
- Defining and maintaining engineering standards across all projects
- Overseeing commissioning quality and system performance
- Acting as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues
- Supporting and mentoring engineers across multiple live projects
- Improving installation quality, documentation and delivery consistency
- Supporting engineering resource planning alongside project teams
- Conducting technical reviews, testing oversight and quality checks
- Providing technical support remotely and on site when required
- Assisting with project planning, design reviews and handovers
- Driving continuous improvement across engineering processes
What They Are Looking For
To be considered, you must come from a high end AV integration background with strong senior engineering experience. You should have extensive knowledge of:
- Lutron HomeWorks / QSX
- Crestron systems
- Control4
- Cisco networking
- VLANs and enterprise WiFi infrastructure
- AV over IP systems including NVX and Dante
- Residential and commercial AV systems
- CCTV and integrated smart technologies
Experience with 2N, VoIP systems, Texecom or wider security integration would also be beneficial.
