We are working with a well-established fire and security company seeking a Fire Alarm Service & Small Works Engineer to join their team, covering Hampshire, Berkshire and parts of West London. The Role

As a Fire Alarm Service & Small Works Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault-finding and carrying out small remedial and installation works on a range of fire alarm systems across commercial and industrial sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service and maintenance of fire alarm systems
  • Diagnosing and rectifying faults on fire detection systems
  • Carrying out small works, upgrades and system modifications
  • Replacing and installing field devices, panels and associated equipment
  • Completing planned preventative maintenance visits
  • Ensuring systems remain compliant with current industry standards
  • Producing accurate service reports and documentation
  • Providing excellent customer service and technical support on-site
  • Working closely with customers to identify and complete remedial works where required

Requirements

Essential

  • Previous experience servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Experience carrying out small works and system modifications
  • Good understanding of fire detection and life safety systems
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
