We are working with a well-established fire and security company seeking a Fire Alarm Service & Small Works Engineer to join their team, covering Hampshire, Berkshire and parts of West London. The Role
As a Fire Alarm Service & Small Works Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault-finding and carrying out small remedial and installation works on a range of fire alarm systems across commercial and industrial sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Service and maintenance of fire alarm systems
- Diagnosing and rectifying faults on fire detection systems
- Carrying out small works, upgrades and system modifications
- Replacing and installing field devices, panels and associated equipment
- Completing planned preventative maintenance visits
- Ensuring systems remain compliant with current industry standards
- Producing accurate service reports and documentation
- Providing excellent customer service and technical support on-site
- Working closely with customers to identify and complete remedial works where required
Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience carrying out small works and system modifications
- Good understanding of fire detection and life safety systems
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
