Alecto Recruitment is working in partnership with a well‑established and growing specialist within the automatic gates and barriers industry. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced Service & Maintenance Engineer to support operations across Glasgow and the wider Central Scotland region. The Role

  • Servicing, maintenance, and fault‑finding on automated gates, barriers, and access control systems
  • Working across residential and commercial sites throughout Glasgow and Central Scotland
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive call‑outs
  • Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults
  • Delivering a professional, customer‑focused service at all times

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–3+ years' experience working with automated gates and/or barriers
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault‑finding skills
  • Experience with swing and sliding gates, barriers, motors, control panels, and safety devices
  • A full UK driving licence (essential)
  • DHF, Gate Safe, or CSCS certifications (desirable but not essential)
  • A proactive attitude, strong communication skills, and pride in quality workmanship
