Forklift Engineer\\n\\n£37k-£40k\\n\\nThe Midlands \\n\\nAlecto Recruitment is working with their client in the Materials Handling sector who are looking for qualified Forklift Engineers to work Field Service around the Midlands area.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\nMaintenance and Repair: Conduct routine maintenance and servicing of forklifts, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.\\nFault Diagnosis: Accurately diagnose faults and issues using diagnostic tools and provide effective solutions to minimize downtime.\\nServicing: Perform routine checks and inspections to ensure all forklifts meet safety regulations and compliance standards.\\nCustomer Support: Provide on-site support and advice to clients, addressing any issues they may encounter with their equipment.\\nDocumentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and parts replaced, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.\\nSafety Standards: Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a safe working environment.\\nParts and Inventory Management: Manage parts and inventory to ensure all necessary components are available for repairs and maintenance.\\nTraining: Assist in training junior engineers or technicians as needed, ensuring skills and knowledge are shared across the team.\\nTravel: Be available to travel to client sites as required to carry out repairs and maintenance.Qualifications & Requirements:\\n\\nEssential:\\nNVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Forklift Engineering or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.\\nProven experience in servicing and repairing forklifts, including electric, diesel, and LPG models.\\nSound knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and fault diagnosis techniques.\\nStrong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.\\nExcellent customer service and communication skills.\\nFull UK driving license (or the relevant driving license for the area).\\nAbility to work efficiently under pressure and manage time effectively.\\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards.\\nDesirable:\\nManufacturer-specific forklift certifications (e.g., Toyota, Mitsubishi, Jungheinrich, etc.).\\nPrevious experience working with a wide range of forklift brands and models.\\nKnowledge of fleet management software or systems.\\nAbility to carry out training for junior staff and customers.Benefits:\\n\\nCompetitive salary and performance-based incentives.\\nCompany vehicle and door to door pay\\nOngoing training and development opportunities.\\nHealth and safety-focused work environment.\\nPension scheme and employee benefits. \\n\\nINDHP \\n\\nTo apply for this role please send your CV or call (phone number removed) ext 224 to (url removed)\\n\\nIf this role would not be of interest to you but may be suitable friend or colleague, we can offer paid referral fees for successful placements
