We're looking for a Senior Refrigeration Engineer to join an established and growing specialist business covering Ipswich, Colchester and Chelmsford. The Business has been established for over 25 years and work on some very interesting projects. Specialists across Building Controls and Refrigeration / Refrigeration Controls Salary / Benefits: £50,000 - £55,000 Overtime opportunities Company Van 25 days holiday + bank holidays and rising with service Overtime rates Hybrid/remote support element available in certain areas of the role Ongoing technical training and development Opportunity to work on technically interesting projects and advanced refrigeration systems Long-term career progression within a growing business The Role: Service, maintenance and fault finding on commercial and industrial refrigeration systems Refrigeration commissioning and system optimisation Working with refrigeration controls and associated electrical systems Diagnosing complex electrical and mechanical faults Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and control panel layouts Supporting installation, upgrade and commissioning projects Providing technical support to customers and colleagues Remote monitoring, diagnostics and occasional remote support activities where appropriate Working across sites throughout Ipswich, Colchester and Chelmsford What We're Looking For: Proven experience as a Refrigeration Engineer, Senior Engineer or Commissioning Engineer Strong refrigeration controls knowledge Refrigeration commissioning experience F-Gas Certified Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and control panel drawings Good understanding of electrical fault finding Experience working with commercial or industrial refrigeration plant Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to fault diagnosis Full UK Driving Licence Desirable Experience: Knowledge of BMS or HVAC controls Experience with remote monitoring systems Understanding of Modbus, BACnet or integrated control systems Commissioning of refrigeration control panels Exposure to CO₂, ammonia, chillers, heat pumps or process cooling systems Electrical qualifications or refrigeration-related technical certifications INDDL
