We are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Fire Sprinkler Estimator / Designer to join a well-established and growing fire protection business in the South East. This is a senior-level role with responsibility for managing and delivering accurate project estimates for commercial sprinkler installations.
As a Senior Sprinkler System Estimator, you will be a key part of the team, working closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure projects are accurately costed and delivered efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing and understanding the technical requirements of commercial projects
- Preparing detailed cost estimates and proposals tailored to each project
- Measuring and quantifying sprinkler heads, pipework, and related components
- Conducting site surveys as required
- Assessing the cost and value of contracts
- Sending enquiries to supply chain partners and preparing tender documentation
- Producing presentations and submittals for clients
- Mentoring junior team members and departmental trainees
- Ensuring compliance with basic LPCB regulations and BSEN12845 standards
Managerial responsibilities available for candidates with relevant experience. Hybrid working with a requirement to attend the office at least 4 days per week (flexible discussion).
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Senior Sprinkler System Estimator, Sprinkler Installation Estimating Engineer, or similar role
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working on commercial sprinkler projects
- Familiarity with BSEN12845 and LPCB standards
- Previous experience within the construction industry, ideally with a working knowledge of MEP services
- CAD proficiency is highly desirable
- Strong project management, communication, and organisational skills
