If you're an experienced Technical Sales Engineer with a background in Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) or industrial dust extraction systems, this is an outstanding opportunity to join a well-established specialist at the forefront of the woodworking industry.

We're recruiting on behalf of a respected and growing business that designs, supplies and installs bespoke LEV and dust extraction systems for customers across the UK. Due to continued growth, they're looking for a commercially minded engineer who can combine technical knowledge with excellent customer relationship skills to help drive the next phase of the company's success.

Based in Aylesbury, this is primarily an office-based role with regular customer site visits throughout the UK and the flexibility for occasional home working.

What you'll be doing

  • You’ll take ownership of the sales process from initial enquiry through to project handover, providing customers with technically compliant solutions that meet their operational requirements.
  • Your responsibilities will include:
    • Meeting customers across the UK to understand their processes, challenges and project requirements.
    • Conducting detailed site surveys and assessing applications for new LEV and dust extraction systems.
    • Designing and proposing technically compliant solutions tailored to each customer's needs.
    • Preparing quotations and managing opportunities through the sales pipeline.
    • Working closely with the installation, manufacturing and testing teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
    • Maintaining accurate customer records using the CRM system.
    • Building long-term customer relationships through exceptional service and technical expertise.
    • Representing the business professionally while promoting the highest standards of safety, compliance and quality.

What we’re looking for

  • You’ll be someone who enjoys solving technical problems, building relationships and winning business.
  • To be successful you’ll have:
    • Proven experience selling LEV or industrial dust extraction systems.
    • Strong technical understanding of LEV principles and system design.
    • Experience carrying out customer site surveys and developing compliant engineering solutions.
    • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
    • A full UK driving licence.
    • The ability to work independently, manage your own workload and use your initiative.
    • The confidence to hit the ground running in a busy, customer-focused environment.

Highly desirable

  • Experience using CAD software.
  • P601 and/or P602 qualifications.
  • Previous experience within the woodworking or manufacturing sectors.
