Role Purpose
As an AV Programmer, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of AV installation projects, providing expert programming of integrated audio-visual control systems. Working closely with installation engineers, project teams, and third-party partners, you will design, develop, test, and deploy custom AV control solutions that deliver reliable, intuitive, and high-quality user experiences. You will be responsible for programming and configuring systems using platforms such as Crestron, AMX, and Extron, ensuring all solutions meet client specifications and operational expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and write AV control code using Crestron, AMX, and/or Extron platforms
- Design and program bespoke control solutions tailored to client requirements
- Load compiled code onto completed AV systems and carry out full functionality testing
- Upload source and compiled code to internal repositories for documentation and version control
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system faults efficiently
- Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure smooth project delivery
- Maintain high-quality standards when working independently or as part of a team
- Demonstrate a proactive, "can-do" attitude focused on customer satisfaction
- Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and clients
- Attend training courses to stay up to date with emerging AV technologies
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience working with corporate and/or government clients
- Strong background in AV systems programming and integration
- Experience working within multi-disciplinary project teams
- Understanding of AV integration within IT and networked environments
- Confident engaging with senior stakeholders, consultants, and end clients
- Willingness to travel to client sites and project locations when required
