Heavy Plant Workshop Engineer – Vacuum Excavation Equipment

Location: Merseyside, England

Salary: GBP 38,000 – 45,000 per annum + Training and Development. Competitive salary available for the right candidate.

We are looking for an experienced Heavy Plant Workshop Engineer to join a busy workshop team working on vacuum excavation equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Workshop-based maintenance and repair of vacuum excavation machinery.
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs efficiently.
  • Routine servicing and inspections.
  • Ensuring equipment is maintained to high safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working on heavy plant machinery.
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills.
  • Experience with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to carry out servicing, maintenance, and fault finding independently.
  • NVQ in Plant Maintenance or equivalent qualification advantageous.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
