Overview
Senior Audio Visual Engineer – High End Residential. Lead delivery of advanced smart home systems in the UK residential market. This senior engineering role emphasizes quality, precision, and technical leadership alongside hands-on engineering. You will take ownership of complex installations from rack build through to final commissioning, often acting as the key technical lead on site.
Responsibilities
- Lead installation and commissioning of home cinemas, multi-room audio, video distribution, and integrated smart home systems
- Configure and program systems including Control4, Lutron, and Crestron
- Own rack builds, structured cabling, and full system wiring to a premium standard
- Advanced fault finding, diagnostics, and system optimisation
- Integrate lighting, shading, HVAC, and control systems into unified platforms
- Work closely with project managers, designers, and clients to ensure smooth delivery
- Support and mentor engineers on site where required
- Ensure projects are delivered cleanly, efficiently, and to specification
Qualifications
- Strong background in high end residential AV installation and commissioning
- Confident with Control4 and/or Lutron; Crestron or Savant highly desirable
- Strong rack building and structured cabling skills
- Ability to lead small teams or act as the technical lead on projects
- Confident working in high end residential environments with clients and contractors
- Full UK driving licence preferred
