Alecto Recruitment is partnering with a market‑leading energy‑from‑waste company and together we are seeking an experienced EC&I supervisor for their ongoing project in Walsall.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Oversee all EIC activities on site, covering electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Serve as the primary on‑site liaison between contractors, site leadership, and engineering teams.
  • Support installation, testing, and commissioning to ensure key programme milestones are achieved.
  • Drive safe, efficient delivery in line with project schedules and quality expectations.
  • Provide hands‑on leadership to ensure work is completed correctly the first time.
  • Champion and enforce HSEQ standards, ensuring all activities follow approved RAMS.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and vendors to maintain progress and resolve issues promptly.
  • Manage defects, punch lists, and completion tasks through to final close‑out.
  • Assist with testing, commissioning, and fault‑finding across all EIC systems.
  • Identify, raise, and manage site changes, deviations, and interface challenges with the wider project team.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience supervising EIC works on industrial or energy sector projects (EfW, power generation, oil & gas, etc.).
  • Strong background working within active construction and commissioning environments.
  • Knowledge of HV/MV/LV systems, instrumentation, and control platforms (PLC/DCS).
  • Solid understanding of installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation.
  • Strong awareness of HSEQ requirements and safe systems of work.
  • Experience managing interfaces between electrical and mechanical disciplines.
  • Electrical Engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience.
  • HV switching competence or authorisation – desirable.
