About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled Senior AV Engineer to join our team. This role involves a mix of hands-on installation, programming, and mentoring junior team members on-site. You will be working closely with our project managers to lead AV installations, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards. You should be comfortable working directly with clients, building strong relationships, and collaborating with other trades on-site. Attention to detail, professionalism, and a passion for delivering outstanding results are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead AV and smart home installations on client sites
- Install, commission, and program high-end AV and home automation systems
- Interpret wiring schematics and technical drawings
- Build, install, and test AV racks
- Conduct troubleshooting and fault-finding on-site
- Mentor and manage junior engineers during projects
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure a seamless installation process
What The Client is Looking For:
- Strong practical skills and understanding of construction techniques
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and fault-finding skills
- Ability to interpret wiring schematics and technical drawings
- Good IT/networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routers, access points)
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- Experience with Control4, Crestron, or similar automation systems (programming experience is a bonus)
- Hands-on experience with AV installations, including video matrix systems, lighting control, and networking solutions
- Familiarity with brands such as Lutron, Rako, Blustream, AVPro Edge, Ubiquiti, and Ruckus
- Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel
- CEDIA or AVIXA certification (advantageous but not essential)
