Monday – Friday | Based in Dibden | Covering Hampshire
Looking for a role where you’re not stuck in a workshop all day? We’re looking for an experienced Mobile Plant Mechanic to join a busy team based from Dibden, covering breakdowns and repairs across Hampshire. This is a genuinely hands-on role, working on a wide range of plant and machinery, with around 70% mobile breakdown work and 30% workshop-based work.
What’s in it for you?
- Monday–Friday working pattern
- Mix of mobile and workshop-based work
- Opportunity to work on a varied range of plant and machinery
- No two days are likely to be the same
- Hampshire-based role with work across the local area
What will you be doing?
You’ll be out on the road responding to breakdowns and carrying out repairs and maintenance on a variety of plant machinery. You’ll also spend time in the Dibden workshop, carrying out servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance. A key part of the role will involve working in demanding environments, including dockside locations, so you’ll need to be comfortable getting stuck in and finding practical solutions to keep equipment operational. Welding experience is essential — you’ll regularly need to carry out tack welding and fabrication work on-site.
What are we looking for?
- Has solid experience as a Plant Mechanic / Plant Fitter
- Is confident diagnosing and repairing a range of plant machinery
- Has strong mechanical knowledge and practical problem-solving skills
- Is competent with welding
- Is comfortable working independently on mobile breakdowns
- Has a good attitude and takes pride in getting the job done properly
