MOBILE FORKLIFT ENGINEER – NORTH EAST (Newcastle / Sunderland / Middlesborough / Durham)

THE ROLE
You'll be working as a Mobile Forklift Engineer, covering customer sites throughout the North East, carrying out maintenance, servicing, diagnostics and repairs on forklift trucks and materials handling equipment.
You'll benefit from a largely field-based role, with depot visits for parts typically required just once or twice a week. This means less time travelling back and forth to the depot and more time working independently out in the field.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing forklift trucks at customer sites.
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical faults.
- Carrying out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs.
- Identifying faults and ensuring equipment is safe and operational.
- Completing service reports and maintaining accurate records.
- Delivering excellent customer service while representing the business professionally.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Previous experience as a Forklift Engineer, Field Service Engineer or Materials Handling Engineer.
- Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications.
- Good mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Electrical knowledge would be a significant advantage.
- A full, clean UK driving licence.
- A reliable, punctual and flexible approach, with a commitment to high standards.
