Alecto Recruitment is looking to hear from experienced Electricians interested in a full time, permanent position based at HMP Onley in Rugby. Working as part of a team, you will carry out a crucial role by ensuring planned and reactive maintenance work is carried out in a safe, compliant and timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings, including lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
  • Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications to plan and execute electrical installations and upgrades.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards to ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other team members to coordinate work schedules and deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Provide guidance and support to apprentices and junior electricians as needed.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical systems.
  • NVQ 3 or equivalent in electrical engineering qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial electrical work.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
