Alecto Recruitment is looking to recruit for a Building Engineer based at HMP Ranby in Retford. This is a permanent position working Monday to Friday 8am-5pm, with a requirement to work on a rota of 1 in 4 weekends.
Job Duties:
- Ensuring availability of critical parts for statutory tasks and managing remedial tasks in the CAFM system.
- Performing general and semi-skilled maintenance activities, including security systems like CCTV and alarms.
- Conducting monthly checks and tests of fire extinguisher equipment, fire hydrants, and hoses.
- Completing quarterly RCD testing and inspecting Misting Units.
- Maintaining fire doors and performing flushing and tap temperature tests as per water risk assessments.
- Undertaking monthly and annual emergency lighting checks.
- Checking and testing smoke vents as required.
- Carrying out any other duties as required.
