We’re working with a growing and highly respected AV integration business looking to add a Pre Sales AV Designer / Technical Designer to its Central London team. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody with strong commercial AV knowledge who enjoys the technical and consultative side of projects, helping shape solutions from the earliest stages through to delivery.

You’ll work closely with clients, consultants, sales teams, and engineers to produce technically accurate, commercially viable AV system designs across a range of commercial environments. This role would suit somebody from a pre sales, technical design, systems design, or senior AV engineering background looking to move further into solution design and client engagement.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Producing AV system designs and technical solutions based on client requirements
  • Preparing Bills of Materials, quotations and project costings
  • Interpreting schematics, technical drawings and tender documents
  • Supporting client meetings and technical presentations
  • Working with consultants, manufacturers and engineering teams
  • Assisting with labour estimates, pricing and margin calculations
  • Producing proposal and technical documentation
  • Supporting project viability before handover to delivery teams
  • Keeping up to date with AV technologies and market trends

Projects include corporate AV, video conferencing, collaboration spaces, integrated technology and smart commercial environments.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong understanding of commercial AV systems
  • Experience within AV integration, technical design or pre sales
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Experience producing quotations, estimates and Bills of Materials
  • Good commercial awareness including labour and project costing
  • Strong communication and client facing skills
  • High attention to detail and organisation
  • Comfortable working independently and within a wider team
  • Experience with Excel, CRM systems or estimating tools
  • CTS or CTS D beneficial but not essential
