A growing and well-respected healthcare equipment specialist is looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer to join its engineering team covering the Midlands and surrounding areas. The business supplies, installs, services and supports a wide range of mobility and patient handling equipment used across hospitals, care homes, schools, local authorities and private residences. Their work helps improve safety, independence and quality of life for people who rely on specialist healthcare equipment every day.

The Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of specialist healthcare equipment at customer sites. Equipment may include:

  • Patient hoists and lifting equipment
  • Pressure care mattresses
  • Bathing systems
  • Mobility equipment
  • Associated healthcare and patient handling products

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Preventative maintenance and planned servicing
  • Fault finding, diagnosis and repair of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems
  • LOLER inspections and safety checks where required
  • Responding to service calls and breakdowns
  • Completing service reports and compliance documentation
  • Providing basic user guidance and support to customers
  • Maintaining high standards of customer service and professionalism at all times

The role will involve visiting a variety of customer sites including care homes, hospitals, schools and private residences.

Candidates should possess:
