A well established UK engineering business is looking for a Mobility Equipment Engineer to join their growing team covering London and the Home Counties. The company specialises in the supply, installation and maintenance of specialist mobility and patient handling equipment, helping improve safety, independence and quality of life for customers across hospitals, care homes and private residences.
This role would suit an engineer with experience working on stairlifts, hoists, profiling beds, bathing equipment or similar mobility products looking for a stable, customer focused field based position.
Responsibilities
- Installing mobility and patient handling equipment
- Servicing and maintaining existing systems
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
- Carrying out repairs and replacements
- Visiting customer sites including hospitals, care homes and private homes
- Completing service reports and documentation
About You / Qualifications
- Experience as a Field Service Engineer, Installation Engineer or Maintenance Engineer
- Mechanical or electro-mechanical fault finding experience
- Ideally experience with mobility equipment such as stairlifts, hoists, beds or baths
- Confident working independently in a field-based role
- Full UK driving licence
Engineers from related industries such as medical equipment, healthcare, white goods, fire and security, vending or other electro-mechanical backgrounds will also be considered.
Package
- £32,000 to £36,000 basic salary
- Overtime and on-call, with OTE over £40,000 per year
