We don’t just manage waste—we transform it into opportunity. From sustainable energy generation to innovative recycling solutions, every day is focused on improving efficiency, sustainability, and operational excellence.

Now, we’re looking for a strong, hands‑on ShiftEngineering Supervisor to help keep operations running at peak performance.

This is your chance to step into a leadership role where your technical expertise, decision‑making, and people management skills will directly influence plant performance, team development, and site safety.

Why This Role Matters

As the Engineering Supervisor, you’ll be the driving force behind a skilled team of Maintenance Engineers and Technicians—ensuring plant reliability, minimising downtime, and creating a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance.

You won’t just manage the day-to-day.

You’ll coach, improve, problem‑solve, and lead from the front.

Your ability to prioritise workloads, identify root causes, and deliver operational excellence will have a direct impact on productivity and business success.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Lead and Develop a High-Performing Engineering Team

By leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities, you’ll identify recurring issues, prevent future failures, and continuously improve plant reliability.

Drive Safety and Compliance

Safety is non-negotiable.

You’ll ensure full compliance with all health and safety procedures, produce and review safety documentation, oversee permit‑to‑work systems, and manage contractors safely during maintenance and shutdown activities.

Your leadership will help build a strong, safe, and compliant engineering culture across site.

Manage Shutdowns and Critical Maintenance

You’ll plan and oversee scheduled shutdown days, coordinating engineering activity, contractor management, permits, and site safety to ensure smooth execution and minimal operational impact.

Communicate Performance and Priorities

Through effective handovers, shift reporting, and cross‑functional communication, you’ll keep management, production, and engineering teams aligned and informed.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who combines strong engineering knowledge with confident leadership.

You’ll likely come from roles such as:

  • Senior Maintenance Engineer
  • Engineering Supervisor
  • Reliability Engineer
  • Plant Engineer
  • Maintenance Team Leader

  • Multi‑Skilled Engineer
  • Operations Engineer
  • Or a similar senior engineering role

  • Strong CMMS experience
  • Budget and P&L management capability
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and willing to use platforms such as Trello and Slack
  • Strong problem‑solving and fault‑finding ability
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills

Why You’ll Love This Opportunity

This isn’t just another engineering role.

It’s an opportunity to build a long‑term career with a leading organisation where your contribution genuinely matters.

What You’ll Get

  • Ongoing training, coaching, and development
  • Retail and leisure discounts
  • Holiday and travel discounts
  • Bike to work scheme
