Ready to Lead Projects, Not Just Pull Cable? If you're the engineer everyone turns to when an installation gets complicated, a system won't commission, or a project needs bringing back on track, this could be the role you've been looking for. We're seeking an experienced AV professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional installations, mentoring others, and representing a business professionally on-site. This isn't a role for someone who wants to be told what to do every day. It's for someone who wants ownership.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • You’ll take the lead on commercial AV installation projects from first fix through to final handover, ensuring every system is installed, tested, commissioned and delivered to the highest standard.
  • Lead installation teams on customer sites across the UK
  • Deliver structured cabling, rack builds, equipment installation and system integration
  • Test, fault-find and commission AV systems
  • Work closely with project managers and technical designers to ensure projects are delivered exactly as specified
  • Act as the key point of contact for clients, contractors and site teams
  • Maintain accurate installation records and quality documentation
  • Conduct site quality checks and ensure compliance with company and industry standards
  • Support, coach and develop junior engineers and apprentices
  • Contribute to service, maintenance and remedial works when required

What Makes Someone Successful in This Role?

You are technically strong, calm under pressure and confident making decisions on-site. You understand that great AV installations aren't just about technical ability—they're about communication, leadership and attention to detail.

You’ll likely have:

  • Strong understanding of AV signal flow and integration
  • Excellent troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
  • Experience leading engineers on-site
  • A full UK driving licence
  • SSSTS certification

Bonus Points If You Have

  • CTS or CTS-I certification
  • Experience delivering large, multi-room or high-profile AV projects
  • Electrical, electronic or network engineering training

What's In It For You?

We believe experienced engineers should be recognised and rewarded appropriately. You’ll receive:

  • £35,000 to £50,000 per annum
  • Company pension
  • Company vehicle (where required)
  • Ongoing manufacturer and industry training
  • Professional certification support
  • Opportunities to progress into senior technical and project leadership roles

The Role

Location: Cotswolds / M4 Corridor (surrounding areas)

Travel: Regular site visits with occasional overnight stays

Team Leadership: AV Technicians and Apprentices

Environment: Commercial AV installation projects across a variety of customer sectors

Why Join Us?

Because you'll be trusted to do what you do best. You’ll work with a company that values quality over shortcuts, invests in its people, and gives experienced engineers the authority to lead projects properly. If you're looking for your next challenge and want to play a key role in delivering outstanding AV installations across the UK, we'd like to hear from you.
