We’re urgently seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer / Mobile Plant Technician / Heavy Equipment Mechanic to service, maintain, and repair a fleet of Volvo, Caterpillar, and Komatsu heavy earthmoving machinery. This is a fully remote, home-based role, where you’ll travel directly to customer sites. The position includes regular UK travel with typically 1–2 overnight stays per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mobile servicing and diagnostics directly on customer sites
- Occasional work in the workshop when required
- Overhauls, electrical troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance
- On-site welding and gas cutting (advantageous)
- Work safely and efficiently while meeting QSHE objectives
Requirements:
- Proven experience with heavy plant, construction, or quarry equipment
- CSCS Card, First Aid, EPIC Quarry Passport, NVQ Level 2 desirable (training available)
- Full UK driving licence
- Able to work independently in a field-based role
