Alecto Recruitment is working with a leading Audio Visual and Home Automation Integrator that is experiencing significant growth and is now looking to recruit aJunior AV Installation Engineerto join their expanding team.
No previous AV experience is essential. If you have the right technical background, practical skills, and willingness to learn, full training will be provided.
What You'll Be Doing
Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll be involved in:
- Installing structured cabling systems (CAT5e, CAT6 and fibre)
- Cable pulling and containment installation
- Cable termination and testing
- RJ45 terminations and networking infrastructure
- Patch panel installation and dressing
- Smart Home and Home Automation installations
- Multi-room audio and video distribution systems
- Home cinema installations
- CCTV, Access Control and Door Entry systems
- Assisting with Control4 and Lutron installations
- Supporting commissioning and system integration projects

Ideal Skills & Experience
Any combination of the following would be highly beneficial:
- 1st Fix and 2nd Fix installation experience
- CAT5e/CAT6 cabling experience
- Patch panel installation and testing
- Electrical installation knowledge
- CCTV, Intruder Alarm or Access Control experience
- Door Entry system installation
- Strong practical and problem-solving skills
- Experience installing or supporting AV systems
Highly Desirable
- Control4 knowledge or installation experience
- Lutron lighting control experience
- Smart Home or Home Automation exposure
- Networking fundamentals and IP-based systems knowledge
