- Play a Key Role in Keeping a Critical Renewable Energy Facility Running
- As a
- Shift Maintenance Fitter
, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of a busy anaerobic digestion plant.
Working as part of a close-knit engineering and operations team, you'll carry out planned preventative maintenance, respond quickly to breakdowns and help improve plant performance through continuous improvement initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys problem-solving, fault finding and working in a fast-paced industrial environment where every shift presents a new challenge.
- Your Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across the plant.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and complete effective repairs.
- Support equipment installations and plant improvement projects.
- Work closely with Operations to maximise plant reliability and minimise downtime.
- Coordinate specialist maintenance activities with contractors.
- Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
- We're Looking For Someone Who Has
- At least
2 years' experience in a Mechanical or Electrical Fitter or maintenance position.
- Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience within manufacturing, process plant, utilities, waste, recycling, water, energy or other industrial environments.
- Knowledge of planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
- The ability to prioritise work effectively and respond confidently during equipment breakdowns.
- A Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification is desirable.
