Key Responsibilities- Undertake site electrical installations including lighting and power, cable tray/ladder, cable installation and switchgear installation.
- Carrying out inspections and testing to both new and existing installations.
- Being able to take the role as lead electrician on projects, reporting to the Site Manager and Project Manager.
- Aiding the high voltage teams on larger site installations.
- Mentoring and coaching less experienced staff and apprentices in developing their knowledge and skills.
- Carrying out work in a safe manner, always adhering to health and safety procedures.
- Taking personal ownership and responsibility of any company property entrusted to you.
- Contributing to the future success of the business and its clients.
- Represent Powersystems with professionalism, actively contributing to our success and continuously seeking ways to improve services and efficiency.
- Champion and embody the clients’ five core principles: Priority No.1 – Health, Safety and Well‑being, Professionalism, Pride, Partnership, and Proactive.
- Must hold a JIB approved ECS card.
- Time served approved electrician having served recognised apprenticeship to 18th Edition Inspection testing (2391 or equivalent).
- Experience of working within the electrical power sector desirable.
- Experience of working on construction sites.
- Experience working on commercial and industrial installations.
- Ability to work proactively on own or as part of a team.
- Strong organisational, time management, IT (MS Office), and report writing skills, with excellent spoken and written English.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical and commercial information, negotiate effectively, and contribute to a dynamic team.
- Adaptable, resilient, proactive, willing to travel across the UK with occasional overnight stays, and holds a full UK driving licence.
- Right to Work within the UK without limitation.
In return our client will offer:
- Typical OTE of up to £65,000 made up of basic hours, overtime, and travel time.
- Potential of up to £3,547.52 extra tax‑free subsistence for staying away from home (based on 46 weeks staying away).
