Alecto Recruitment is supporting a well-established independent BMS specialist (over 30 years in the sector) who are looking to hire a Project Engineer due to continued growth. They've delivered some of the most high-profile projects across London and have a leadership team that genuinely invests in their people and long-term development.

This role will involve the design, delivery, and commissioning of BMS upgrade and optimisation projects, working with modern platforms such as Trend IQ5 and IQVision, Tridium and Distech.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver BMS upgrade projects, including migrations across live environments.
  • Design control panel modifications, backplates, and upgrade architectures enabling phased installations with minimal operational disruption.
  • Develop and modify BMS control software to support modern hardware platforms and improved system reliability.
  • Produce control schematics, I/O schedules, panel layouts, and system architecture documentation.
  • Lead site activities, coordinating engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Support project delivery through technical input to variations, scope development, and commissioning activities.
  • Carry out system reviews, site surveys, and implement improved control strategies and energy optimisation solutions.
Experience Required
  • Strong experience delivering BMS projects from design through commissioning.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Trend BMS systems (IQ2, IQ5, IQVision).
  • Other BMS Systems experience is great such as Tridium, Distech, Schneider.
  • Ability to produce technical documentation including schematics, I/O schedules, and system architectures.
  • Experience upgrading or modernising legacy BMS installations.
  • Strong stakeholder communication and site leadership skills.

Salary: £65,000 - £70,000
