We're working with an established AV Commercial and infrastructure services business (20+ years in the market). They're expanding and seeking a technically astute Project Manager to bridge the world between sales/consultancy and installation execution. This role is critical: you'll provide technical leadership, client interaction, and install team coordination from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the technical point of contact for clients, handling queries, clarifying requirements, and translating them into deliverable solutions.
- Perform site surveys and produce survey reports that feed into project proposals.
- Design AV solutions aligned with company standards and client budgets.
- Specify equipment, prepare proposal documentation, assist the sales and install teams with technical clarity.
- Coordinate installation teams on site: liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery.
- Manage project documentation: drawings, internal records, RAMS, change orders, site drawings, etc.
- Provide on-site and phone technical support during delivery phases.
- Assist with equipment staging/preparation prior to installation.
- Keep your technical knowledge sharp with industry training and product updates.
What We're Looking For
- Proven background combining technical AV understanding and project management/client liaison.
- Good knowledge of AV systems, displays, projection, conferencing, control systems.
- Strong communication skills, comfortable speaking with clients, internal teams, contractors.
- Excellent organisation and time management under pressure.
- Experience with survey, design, and translating client requirements into technical documentation.
- Confidence leading installation teams on site.
- Degree or technical qualification is a plus (but not essential).
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CTS, AVIXA, PMP) are helpful.
- Full UK driving licence.
