Site Engineer - UAE

We are looking for highly motivated and experienced Site Engineer to join our team in the UAE.

Position Overview:

Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating construction activities on-site. This position requires a strong technical background in civil engineering, particularly in high-end residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments. The Site Engineer will work closely with the Project Manager and the project team to ensure that all construction activities meet high-quality standards, are completed on time, and remain within budget.

Responsibilities:

Site Supervision and Coordination:

• Supervise and manage daily on-site operations, ensuring that work is carried out according to project plans, specifications, and local regulations.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and labor teams to ensure efficient progress of construction work.
• Provide technical guidance to construction teams, ensuring proper interpretation of blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

Quality Control and Compliance:

• Ensure all construction activities meet quality standards, ensuring that the high-end specifications of the building are adhered to.
• Monitor and enforce strict adherence to construction drawings, specifications, and local codes and regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections to check the quality of materials, workmanship, and site safety.
• Implement corrective actions when required to maintain the quality of the work.

Safety Management:

• Promote and enforce a safe working environment by following site safety regulations and conducting regular safety audits.
• Report and investigate any accidents or safety concerns and recommend solutions.
• Ensure all site personnel are equipped with proper safety gear and are trained in safe work practices.

Monitoring and Reporting:

• Monitor the progress of construction activities, including tracking schedules and milestones, to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for the Project Manager, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and upcoming tasks.
• Keep accurate records of site activities, inspections, deliveries, and variations.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Maintain effective communication with the Project Manager, Senior Site Engineer, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth project operations.
• Liaise with local authorities and external agencies to ensure compliance with regulations and permits.
• Assist with the coordination of subcontractors and vendors to ensure they deliver on time and according to contract terms.

Final Inspection and Handover:

• Assist in preparing for final inspections, ensuring that any defects are rectified before handover.
• Conduct site audits and checks to ensure all documentation is complete and the project is ready for handover to the client.
• Participate in the final walk-through with the client and assist in addressing any issues raised.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Site Engineer, with significant involvement in high-end building or luxury building projects.
