As an AV Engineer at ALEC Technologies, you’ll lead the design, installation, and operation of large-scale, state-of-the-art audio-visual systems. This includes LED domes, 360° projection systems, spatial audio, and interactive media platforms. Your Role
- Lead the design, installation, and commissioning of complex AV systems, including LED displays, projection domes, and immersive media environments.
- Collaborate with media architects, lighting designers, and content teams to create synchronized audio-visual experiences.
- Program and operate media servers, control systems, and networked AV devices.
- Troubleshoot real-time AV issues during testing and live events.
- Ensure AV systems are scalable, maintainable, and meet safety and technical standards.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and contractors.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Audio-Visual Technology, Media Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in large-scale AV, immersive, or projection-based installations.
- Proficiency with media servers (e.g., Notch, Watchout, Disguise) and AV control systems (Crestron, Q-SYS, AMX).
- Experience with projection mapping, LED dome systems, and spatial audio setups.
- Strong understanding of networked AV systems, signal routing, and video/audio troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Top Skills
- Experience with large-scale venues or entertainment installations (e.g., arenas, theaters, concert venues).
- Knowledge of interactive or real-time content systems.
- Familiarity with 3D visualization and content pipelines for immersive environments.
