  • 65,000Type: Full-Time | PermanentI'm working with an established independent multidisciplinary engineering consultancy that is looking to appoint a Principal / Associate Civil Engineer to lead their London civils team. This is a genuine team leadership opportunity, with responsibility for the day-to-day management, technical delivery and development of the London civils team.

You'll report directly into the Civils Discipline Lead, who is based at another South East office but will also spend regular time working with the London team.

The role would suit an experienced Civil Engineer who enjoys remaining technically involved but is now looking to take greater responsibility for people, projects, clients and team growth.

The RoleYou'll be involved in: Leading and managing the London civils teamCoordinating workloads, resources and project deliveryProviding technical guidance and design reviewManaging civil engineering projects from concept through to constructionHighways, drainage, SuDS and development infrastructureWorking closely with clients, architects, contractors and wider design teamsManaging project budgets, programmes and technical deliverablesMentoring and developing engineers and techniciansSupporting fee proposals, bids and business developmentHelping to grow the London civils workload and client baseWorking closely with the Civils Discipline Lead on the wider development of the disciplineAbout YouI'm keen to speak with experienced Principal or Associate Civil Engineers from a consultancy background who are ready to take ownership of a team.

You'll ideally have: Strong UK civil engineering consultancy experienceExperience leading, managing or mentoring engineersGood technical knowledge across highways, drainage, SuDS and development infrastructureExperience managing projects and client relationshipsGood commercial awarenessStrong communication and leadership skillsChartered status or working towards ChartershipWhat's on Offer58,000
