Are you an experienced structural designer able to take responsibility for complex schemes as well as doing hands on design and running projects? Interested to work in the specialist power industry? This well established Epsom based specialist design consultancy are part of a large utilities contractor group. They are looking to expand to around 40 staff in the design office, and are currently looking for a Senior Engineer to join their team.

You would need to be able to pick up hands on design using Tekla, as well as mentoring more junior staff, overseeing compliance with QA/QC procedures and acting as technical lead on projects. The firm deal with structural design for projects in the power industry. These are highly technical, often specialist schemes and involve work on power networks for firms such as SSE.

You will be working within a very experienced team and able to take responsibility for projects. You should be Chartered MIStructE or MICE (or nearing this status), with an excellent technical background and project management and people management skills. Experience in the power sector would be highly advantageous.

  • Design of blast resistant buildings

  • Buildings to house transformer cells
  • Designing of specialist steelwork structures
