Structural Steel Designer

An established contractor with in-house steelwork capability is looking for a Design Engineer to support the delivery of structural steel packages across a range of complex projects. Working as part of a close-knit technical team, the Design Engineer will play a key role in developing practical, buildable solutions from concept through to construction. With steelwork detailing and fabrication managed internally, there's real scope to influence how designs are produced and delivered on the ground.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\nProduce structural steel designs and connection details for permanent and temporary works\\nSupport the preparation of calculations, fabrication drawings, and technical documents\\nCoordinate with internal project teams, fabricators, and site engineers\\nEnsure design outputs meet all applicable codes, safety standards, and client specifications\\nAssist with design reviews, value engineering, and coordination with other disciplines\\nProvide technical support through tendering, design development, and constructionWhat You'll Bring:\\n\\nDegree in Structural or Civil Engineering (BEng/MEng)\\nWorking knowledge of Eurocodes and UK design standards\\nProficiency in relevant software (e.g.
