Well established and reputable Cambridge based structural design consultancy seek a Chartered or near Chartered Structural Engineer to join their experienced team. They are so busy with incoming work that they need to expand. Priority will be given to local candidates who already know the area well and have their own transport to attend meetings and site visits.

The practice is a small, close knit team, who are passionate about what they do. They are professional with their structural services, while also ensuring the company is a place where one can have a laugh and enjoy work. The company has less than 10 staff and projects are mainly in the small, residential field.

The role will include dealing with private homeowners and architects and design in all the main materials. Basic Autocad ability would be advantageous. The role will suit a local candidate who is used to dealing with small projects, and who does not want to be just a cog in a big company wheel.

The company is a flexible practice, offers 25 days holiday, pension scheme and office socials. Excellent written and spoken English and communication skills are essential.
