We're working with a well-established and growing property and construction consultancy that is expanding its Building Surveying team across the South Coast. They're looking to appoint an Assistant Building Surveyor who is keen to develop their technical skills, gain wider project exposure and build a long-term career within a supportive and collaborative consultancy environment. This is a great opportunity to work alongside experienced surveyors on an interesting mix of projects across the Defence, Blue Light, Education, Housing and Commercial sectors. From smaller repair and maintenance projects through to multi-million-pound improvement programmes, you'll gain exposure to a genuinely varied workload and have the opportunity to get involved throughout the project lifecycle. What can you expect? This isn't a role where you'll be limited to one type of surveying instruction. You'll have the opportunity to: Get involved in building surveys, inspections and defect investigations. Assist with refurbishment, repair and improvement projects. Prepare specifications, schedules of work, reports and other technical documentation. Support senior surveyors with project delivery and contract administration. Develop your understanding of JCT and NEC contracts. Attend site and gain valuable hands-on experience across a variety of property types. Assist with planned maintenance programmes and wider property-related consultancy work. Build relationships with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders. Work closely with colleagues across different disciplines. Develop your commercial and project management skills as your experience grows.What are they looking for?
