An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join a leading, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy based in Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will be joining a forward-thinking consultancy with a healthy project pipeline across sectors including residential, commercial, distribution, and technology, including data centres. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you'll be responsible for leading and managing the design of civil infrastructure projects from concept through to completion. You'll take technical ownership of schemes and support the wider team in delivering high-quality, efficient, and compliant design solutions.

  • Leading the design and coordination of highways, drainage, and infrastructure projects
  • Preparing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy Reports
  • Managing budgets, programmes, and project delivery
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Contributing to fee proposals and commercial management

Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)

Around 6-10 years' experience in civil infrastructure design within a consultancy environment

Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage (or InfoDrainage), and Vehicle Tracking

Familiarity with BIM workflows and tools such as Revit, Navisworks, or Infraworks (advantageous)

Commercial awareness and client relationship management experience
